Are you an emerging Not-For-Profit leader looking to take the next step and have more impact?

It's not easy to step into a new role and take on new responsibilities.
Do you have the same challenges as most emerging leaders?

  1. Developing Effective Leadership Skills,
  2. Balancing Task and People Management and,
  3. Dealing with Change and Uncertainty.

The complexities of leadership and the unique challenges that come with it can be daunting.

Besides that add the decline in funding, the uncertain economic environment, and staff shortages to the mix and you have a perfect storm. These challenges often come with stress and long working hours to make sure everything is getting done which causes many Not-For-Profit leaders to be on the verge of burnout.

A Not-For-Profit Leadership Coach will be able to help to address these challenges.

If you want to live a happy and fulfilled life, you need to follow your own path with courage and empathy

How can leadership coaching help you be more
effective as a leader and have more impact?

Effective Leadership Skills

Developing Effective Leadership Skills requires a commitment to growth and learning. Effective leaders are not born, they are made. With this in mind, it is clear that emerging leaders continually need to improve their communication, motivation, conflict resolution, and trust-building skills. Interestingly research from Harvard Business Review reveals that the average time it takes for leaders to get formal leadership training is 10 years!
Leaders must also be willing to receive feedback, understand themselves better and make changes to their leadership style in order to better serve their teams.

Task and People Management

Balancing Task and People Management is another challenge for emerging leaders. As staff retention and staff engagement is a hot topic for most Not-For-Profit organisations, leaders must balance the need to achieve goals (e.g. deliver programs) and get funding with the need to understand the needs and expectations of team members. This requires a delicate balance between being results-oriented and people-oriented, and an ability to prioritise effectively.

Dealing with Change and Uncertainty

Dealing with Change and Uncertainty is a major challenge for emerging leaders. In today's fast-paced and rapidly changing world, leaders must be able to adapt to new situations and find solutions to complex problems. This challenge requires the ability to think critically, take calculated risks, and make informed decisions in the face of uncertainty. Leaders must also be able to lead their teams through change and help them navigate uncertainty with confidence.

To overcome these challenges, emerging leaders must commit to growth, learning, and continuous improvement. By uncovering blind spots and developing the necessary skills and strategies to overcome these challenges, emerging leaders can become more effective leaders who can inspire and motivate their teams to have more impact.

How do I know if coaching is something for me?

Improving your performance and your life starts with Self-Leadership

If you're feeling overwhelmed, struggling with leadership challenges, facing a crisis or significant change, feeling stuck or stagnant, or needing to improve your communication skills, a Not-For-Profit Leadership Coach will be able to support you in your role as a Not-For-Profit Leader.

Are you feeling like this?

MY PERFORMANCE HAS DECLINED
  • In all areas of my life my performance has declined.
  • I can’t seem to perform how I used to or want to and don’t know why.
MY HEALTH HAS DECLINED
  • I feel overwhelmed.
  • My diet is poor.
  • I feel overworked.
  • I’m often sick.
I FEEL BURNT OUT
  • My energy is low.
  • I’m always tired.
  • I don’t sleep well.
  • To many things are a priority
  • I'm too busy and can't delegate
  • Sometimes I don't know what to prioritise
I FEEL CONFUSED
  • My values have changed.
  • No one understands.
  • My beliefs have changed.
  • The world isn’t the same.
  • I don’t know what to do.
I FEEL DISCONNECTED
  • I feel disconnected from people.
  • Sometimes I feel alienated.
  • Often I feel that I have to do it all alone.
I FEEL UNHEARD
  • Often I feel I can't get my message across.
  • No one understands me.
  • I can't talk to my manager, my friends, and my family.
  • I have no one to share with. I don't have someone who can be my sounding board.

If your answer to one of these questions is yes, let's have a chat and explore where this might be coming from and map out a strategy to overcome it.

At our initial coaching session we talked about what was important to me in my business and personally and where was I struggling currently.
I was struggling on the personal side which was being driven by my business activity.
Being a small business owner, I have struggled to let go and find the personal space that I need to relax and spend more time with my young children.
Pete was able to bring out of me what was important to me, and what my issues were, and agree on an action plan to address these issues.
I understand that the actions are mine to deliver on and am working towards delivering on the actions that are important to me.
Pete is a good listener which is a good quality in a coach but also knows when to give me some direction so that I can focus on my objectives and deliver on my actions.

How can we work together?

Depending of what you want to achieve there are three options to work with me.

One-on-one Consulting

You have a particular challenge or goal that you want to address.

If applicable we may use one of the assessment tools to go deeper into thinking preferences, ways of being and personality traits and preferences. This might provide you with some insights that have been blindspots for you or they can confirm patterns that you are already aware of.

During the coaching session I will act as a critical friend, encouraging you every step of the way. I will challenge you to push yourself and stretch your comfort zone as that’s how we grow and develop.

Personal Leadership Group Program

During this program will work alongside peers in a group setting and on top of that you will get 1:1 coaching. The program will focus on three main areas and you will work on:

1. Who you are and what you want out of life
2. How you interact with those around you
3. How you can achieve your goals

Online training Program

The online training will give you access to recorded training sessions that are part of the Personal Leadership Program.

This will include the 3 pillars of the program:

1. Wake Up (to your potential)
2. Level up (elevate your potential)
3. Show up (to transform)

Peter is very pleasant to work with. He brings structure to the conversation, gives plenty of room to let me talk and knows when he needs to ask questions that bring you to the core of your challenge.
I reckon any leader or business owner could gain some benefits from coaching with Sisu coaching.

Peter has helped me break through my unconscious habits and gain more clarity on my personal development journey. He is patient, listened, genuine, helpful and has been challenging my thinking in helping me break through when there's an opportunity. He gave me space, listened and provide guidance when needed. Thank you Peter for being there for me!

Jasmine Lim - Coach/Change Manager

I had hit a bit of a ceiling in my career development and was trying to re-ignite my intrinsic motivation and re-focus my priorities.
I experienced the sessions as calm, structured and professional. They provided a space where I could reflect on some of the issues, barriers and challenges I was facing. By bringing a structured conversational style to it, with Peter’s help I was able to disentangle these issues and address them step by step, thereby regaining a sense of control and personal power over the situation.
I highly recommend Peter’s coaching to anyone who is considering their current or future career and business direction, or their life purpose more broadly. The coaching is very valuable in helping to develop both a clear vision and a practical strategy for realising this vision. Peter also helped me with being accountable for my actions towards the goals I set.
